User can put non-project items into the root "My Projects" project using the project chooser modal dialog, but there is no project contents view for those items

Possibly related: when viewing a new pipeline instance that is not part of a project, the "Choose a project" button will allow the user to add the pipeline to "My Projects", but doing so does not remove the "Choose a project" button. -twp

What's the expected result here? Should it not be possible to move data to "My Projects," or should "My Projects" have a project view? I'm guessing the former, but wanted to double-check.
If you move data to "My Projects" this way, does it actually move? (Is it gone from the previous project page/no longer have the "put this in a Project" prompt? Does the owner_uuid change?)
